Description

Soft and buttery cookies with a delightful powdered sugar coating, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients until fully combined, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the tops look slightly puffed. Let cool for about five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  6. Dust the cookies with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Cookies may look under-baked when removed from the oven but will continue to cook on the tray. Can be frozen prior to baking for later enjoyment.
