- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup colorful sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and the sprinkles.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between each scoop.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Sprinkle a few extra sprinkles on top before baking for added festiveness.
