Description

Buttery, chewy cookies with chocolate chips and festive sprinkles, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup colorful sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips and the sprinkles.
  5. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between each scoop.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Sprinkle a few extra sprinkles on top before baking for added festiveness.
