- 2–3 large oranges
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 6–8 oz dark chocolate
- Sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Slice the oranges about 1/4 inch thick.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar, bringing it to a gentle simmer until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the orange slices to the syrup and simmer for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally until translucent.
- Remove the oranges and let them dry on a wire rack until cool.
- Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts.
- Dip each dried orange slice halfway into the chocolate and place them back on the wire rack.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top if desired.
- Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate.

Choose high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Experiment with flavors like white chocolate drizzle or spices in the syrup.
