Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 68 oz dark chocolate
  • Sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the oranges about 1/4 inch thick.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar, bringing it to a gentle simmer until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the orange slices to the syrup and simmer for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally until translucent.
  4. Remove the oranges and let them dry on a wire rack until cool.
  5. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts.
  6. Dip each dried orange slice halfway into the chocolate and place them back on the wire rack.
  7. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top if desired.
  8. Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
