- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture until well incorporated.
- Spoon the batter onto the lined baking sheets, using about 1.5 tablespoons for each cookie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes. The cookies might look slightly underbaked.
- After removing from the oven, let them cool for a minute and make an indent in the center with a spoon. Fill with caramel sauce.
- Optionally, sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top and let them cool completely before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze them with layers of parchment paper to prevent sticking.
