Description

A delicious twist on comfort food, combining creamy garlic chicken alfredo served in crunchy, buttery garlic bread bowls.


Ingredients

  • 4 large bread rolls (sourdough or ciabatta)
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 4 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 2 cups grilled chicken (diced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the tops off the bread rolls and hollow out the insides.
  3. Mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley; spread inside hollowed rolls.
  4. Bake rolls upside down on a baking sheet for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat; sauté grilled chicken for a few minutes.
  6. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, then add Parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper; allow to thicken for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Fill baked bread bowls with chicken alfredo mixture and sprinkle additional Parmesan on top.
  9. Return to the oven for 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!

Notes

Use sturdy bread to hold the filling. Experiment with different sauces for variety. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge.
