Description

An easy and flavorful dish combining sweet, salty, and spicy elements perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g boneless and skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1-inch piece ginger, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Spring onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in a bowl with soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. Let sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat about 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken thighs.
  3. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Pour the leftover marinade into the pan and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Serve the chicken garnished with freshly sliced spring onions.

Notes

For extra kick, add red pepper flakes while the sauce thickens.
