Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup soft caramel candies (unwrapped)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Optional: chocolate chips
  • Optional: nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. Melt caramel candies in a microwave-safe bowl, add heavy cream, and mix until smooth.
  5. Form a scoop of cookie dough, flatten it, and place a teaspoon of caramel in the center. Fold the dough over to seal and place on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are slightly underbaked.
  7. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
