Juicy Cajun steak tips paired with creamy cheesy rigatoni for a flavor-packed dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 8 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar, or a blend)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and trim excess fat.
  2. Toss the steak cubes in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper generously.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add steak cubes and sear for 3–4 minutes on each side.
  5. Add butter to the pan and baste the steak tips as it melts.
  6. Remove steak tips and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  7. In a large pot, boil water with salt and cook rigatoni for 8–10 minutes until al dente.
  8. Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
  9. Sauté minced garlic in a splash of olive oil until fragrant.
  10. Add heavy cream and heat, stirring before gradually adding shredded cheese until melted.
  11. Mix in the cooked rigatoni, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  12. Season cheese sauce with salt and pepper.
  13. Plate rigatoni, top with Cajun steak tips, and garnish as desired.

Notes

Serve with a side of red wine or beer for a perfect pairing.
