- 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye)
- 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- 8 oz rigatoni pasta
- 2 cups shredded cheese (Mozzarella, Cheddar, or a blend)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and trim excess fat.
- Toss the steak cubes in Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper generously.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak cubes and sear for 3–4 minutes on each side.
- Add butter to the pan and baste the steak tips as it melts.
- Remove steak tips and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- In a large pot, boil water with salt and cook rigatoni for 8–10 minutes until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Sauté minced garlic in a splash of olive oil until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and heat, stirring before gradually adding shredded cheese until melted.
- Mix in the cooked rigatoni, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water if necessary.
- Season cheese sauce with salt and pepper.
- Plate rigatoni, top with Cajun steak tips, and garnish as desired.
Notes
Serve with a side of red wine or beer for a perfect pairing.
