A delicious blend of Cajun flavors with sausage and pasta, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Pasta of your choice (fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti)
  • Cajun sausage (Andouille or any spicy sausage)
  • Bell peppers (green or red, chopped)
  • 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra spice)

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté sliced sausage until browned.
  3. Add chopped bell pepper and onion, and sauté until softened (about 5-6 minutes). Add minced garlic.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
  5. Sprinkle Cajun seasoning into the mixture and let it simmer.
  6. Drain pasta and add to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Add pasta water if needed.
  7. Plate the pasta and garnish with Parmesan and parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with chicken broth or a dairy-free alternative. Adjust spice levels according to preference.
