- Cajun sausage (Andouille or any spicy sausage)
- Bell peppers (green or red, chopped)
- 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for extra spice)
Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté sliced sausage until browned.
- Add chopped bell pepper and onion, and sauté until softened (about 5-6 minutes). Add minced garlic.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Sprinkle Cajun seasoning into the mixture and let it simmer.
- Drain pasta and add to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. Add pasta water if needed.
- Plate the pasta and garnish with Parmesan and parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with chicken broth or a dairy-free alternative. Adjust spice levels according to preference.
