Description

A quick and easy dessert that combines sweet strawberries with buttery Bisquick shortcakes, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a sweet treat on a lazy afternoon.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 pint strawberries, sliced
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Slice the strawberries and toss them with 1 tablespoon of sugar, allowing them to sit while you prepare the shortcakes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  3. Mix 2 cups of Bisquick and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a bowl.
  4. Add 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of melted butter, mixing gently until just combined.
  5. Scoop roughly 1/4 cup of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet for each shortcake.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Slice each shortcake in half once cooled.
  8. Layer the bottom half with strawberries and whipped cream, then top with the other half and more whipped cream.

Notes

For enhanced strawberry flavor, let the sliced strawberries sit with sugar before using.
