Description

These fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth cookies are made with butter, finely chopped pecans, and rolled in powdered sugar for a snowy finish, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (plus more for rolling)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and 1 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and chopped pecans.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  6. Roll about a tablespoon of dough into a ball and place them on an ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let them cool for a few minutes, then roll in powdered sugar.
  9. Enjoy them right away or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Chill the dough for about 30 minutes to prevent spreading and enhance texture. Toasting pecans improves flavor.
