Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar (plus more for rolling)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and 1 cup of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and chopped pecans.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Roll about a tablespoon of dough into a ball and place them on an ungreased baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let them cool for a few minutes, then roll in powdered sugar.
- Enjoy them right away or store in an airtight container.
Notes
Chill the dough for about 30 minutes to prevent spreading and enhance texture. Toasting pecans improves flavor.
