Description
Delightfully chewy cookies infused with rich browned butter and packed with toffee and chocolate chips.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup toffee bits
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Brown the Butter: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Let cool.
- Mix Your Sugars: In a mixing bowl, combine both sugars with the cooled browned butter. Whisk well until blended.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth and creamy.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter-sugar mixture until just combined.
- Add the Goodies: Fold in toffee bits and chocolate chips.
- Chill Out: Refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes.
- Bake Your Cookies: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden.
- Cool Time: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough longer for denser cookies and feel free to experiment with mix-ins like nuts or coconut.
