- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups fresh peaches (chopped or sliced)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour your cake pan.
- Cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture and fold in peaches.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 40-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
