- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 1/2 cups pecans, toasted and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat and cook until golden brown, stirring frequently.
- In a large bowl, combine the slightly cooled brown butter with both sugars and beat until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix just until a dough forms.
- Fold in the toasted pecans until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
Notes
For a thicker, chewier cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. You can also freeze the dough balls for later use.
