- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Scoop out about a tablespoon of dough, roll into a ball, and roll in granulated sugar.
- Place dough balls on a greased baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Gently press down on each cookie ball to flatten slightly.
- Bake for about 8–10 minutes or until edges are slightly golden.
- Let cookies sit on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
