This bariatric seed coffee recipe is a nutrient-packed drink designed for weight loss support, post-op gut health, and all-day energy. Made with chia, flax, and black coffee—it’s the perfect bariatric-friendly morning ritual.
Ingredients
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
8–10 oz hot black coffee (strong brew)
1 scoop collagen powder (optional)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Brew strong black coffee using French press or pour-over method.
In a blender, add ground flaxseed, chia seeds, and cinnamon.
Pour the hot coffee over the seeds in the blender.
Add collagen powder if using.
Blend for 10–15 seconds until fully incorporated.
Let sit for 1 minute to thicken, then serve warm or over ice.
Notes
To make it iced, refrigerate after blending or add ice after resting.
This recipe is best consumed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
Make sure seeds are ground for smoother texture and better digestion.
